ExpoElectronica: import substitution, official visits and agreements

From 12 to 14 April 2022, the International Exhibitions ExpoElectronica and ElectronTechExpo took place at Crocus Expo

Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation: “Today is a challenging time; however, it provides us with opportunities to develop new approaches and solve our problems. I want to assure you that we work 24/7 to mitigate the imposed sanctions and ensure uninterrupted production. We have already adopted support measures, like additional capitalization of the Industrial Development Fund, which issues preferential loans, by 20 billion rubles; or an increase of subsidies for preferential loans to backbone enterprises up to 120 billion rubles. In addition, we work on targeted measures currently required by the industry, i.e. expansion of tax incentives for enterprises of the radio-electronic industry that develop and sell their own products, a reduction in the rate of insurance premiums from 30.2% to 7.6%, and reduction in the corporate income tax rate from 20% to 3%.”

ExpoElectronica and ElectronTechExpo became a unique platform where electronics industry experts could find new contacts, conclude agreements, and discuss industry issues. The exhibitions showcased all products of micro and radio electronics important for import substitution. More than 120 Russian manufacturers introduced computer equipment, industrial computers, robotization and automation systems, electricity meters, and much more.

In 2022, 355 companies (vs 282 companies in 2021) from Russia, Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, China, and Norway exhibited at ExpoElectronica and ElectronTechExpo. The trade shows were attended by 16,435 industry professionals from 20 countries and 70 regions of Russia, among which 8,151 visited for the first time. The number of visitors increased almost by 50% compared to last year. The share of visitors from Russian regions also increased by 45%. Traditionally, ExpoElectronica and ElectronTechExpo are the platforms where industry experts solve their business problems, and such an increase in attendance reinforces their status.
